POWER OUTAGE AFFECTED MOST OF NYC
A massive power outage affected parts of Upper and Midtown Manhattan in NYC for hours last night. This began around 6:45pm last night and the cause was a transformer electrical malfunction underground which resulted in five subway stations unable to provide service, several blocks of non-working traffic lights and major crowds trying to find alternate travel routes.
Over 60,000 customers were affected and power slowly became restored after 10:30pm. The investigation as to what caused the issue is still being investigated.
