Nike’s online sales have jumped to 31% after the company unveiled its campaign featuring Colin Kaepernick.

Based on data from a Silicon Valley digital commerce research company, online sales grew from the Sunday of Labor Day weekend through Tuesday compared with a 17% gain recorded for the same period of 2017.

Hetal Pandya, co-founder of Edison Trends said,  “There was speculation that the Nike/Kaepernick campaign would lead to a drop in sales, but our data over the last week does not support that theory.”

The news of the partnership between Nike and Kaepernick drew plenty of online buzz with mentions and comments on Twitter and other social-media outlets.
