RICHARD “CRAZY LEGS” COLON TO RECEIVE HISPANIC HERITAGE AWARD

Break dancing legend Richard “Crazy Legs” Colón will receive the Hispanic Heritage Award for Culture during the 31st annual Hispanic Heritage Awards that will take place at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., on September 12. 

 

Colón is a Bronx-born Puerto Rican dancer, educator and pioneer recognized and respected globally for his hip-hop and humanitarian contributions. 

 

Jose Antonio Tijerino, President and CEO of HHF said, “The Hispanic Heritage Foundation is thrilled to recognize the career Crazy Legs as a Hip Hop pioneer but also for serving as a role model to young people across the world -- his influence on culture continues today.”

 

The awards will be broadcast nationally on PBS stations during Hispanic Heritage Month.
