6ix9ine told police that he was robbed after being pulled from a car by two gunmen earlier this morning in Brooklyn, NY.

He’s telling a very different story to the police from what was originally reported, according to an update from TMZ. Law enforcement sources told TMZ that the rapper said he was a passenger in a Chevy Tahoe at a Brooklyn intersection at about 4:25 a.m. on Sunday morning. He said he was sitting at a red light when a car bumped the vehicle he was in from behind and two men with guns jumped out. According to 6ix9ine, the two men then stole the driver's iPhone, took the rapper into their vehicle, and drove away.

According to law enforcement, they drove to Tekashi's home. He called someone inside (probably the mother of his child) and asked the contact to come out with his jewelry, and the person complied. Sources told TMZ that 6ix9ine managed to escape, called the police, and then became uncooperative. He checked himself into the hospital. The source of the injuries has not been confirmed.
